Williams brings 30+ years of international business experience and expertise

BOSTON - December, 2025 -- Ann Williams, renowned footwear design expert and Co-Director of Schwilliamz Creative Consultants, Inc., has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Women in World Trade New England (WWTNE).

Williams' appointment reflects her extensive global background in footwear design, development, manufacturing, licensing, retail strategy, and intellectual property (IP). Her deep expertise strengthens WWTNE's mission to inform, connect, and support professional women across New England who are engaged in international trade, investment, and global business.

The appointment recognizes Williams' extensive global experience in footwear design, development, supply chain, and intellectual property, further strengthening WWTNE's mission to connect, inform, and support professional women engaged in international trade and global affairs across the New England region. Williams' background as a sought-after footwear industry consultant and expert witness are of particular value as global supply chain dynamics and the protection of intellectual property (IP) become increasingly critical issues for businesses operating internationally.

Williams brings more than three decades of international experience, having worked across the U.S. and the U.K. in key roles at global brands, including Director of Design & Product at the Stride Rite Corporation and positions at Reebok International and Clark's in Somerset, England.

Since founding Schwilliamz Creative Consultants, Inc. in 2003, Williams has become a sought-after consultant, subject matter expert, and expert witness, advising global footwear brands, retailers, and intellectual property professionals on design strategy, product development, and complex IP matters.

"Global trade is the backbone of innovation, especially in footwear, where international supply chains, design trends, and intellectual property protection define success," said Ann Williams. "I am honored to join the WWTNE board and look forward to supporting the women shaping international business across New England."

Williams holds an Honors degree in Fashion Design with a specialization in Footwear Design from DeMontfort University in Leicester, England.
